Routes and Map of the surrounding area
The Loosdrechtse Plassen were created by human hands. Because of the peat extraction in the area, canals were dug for transport between the pieces of land on which the peat was stored. Over time these pieces of land were excavated or were washed away in a storm. This is how the lakes that now form the Loosdrechtse Plassen were connected.
Below you will find a map of the lake, and a couple of routes on the Vecht and the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Do you want to create a route yourself? Take a look at our partner: Sloepennetwerk.
